#Haiku Happenings #5: Vivian Zem’s latest #haibun!

Smell The Coffee

When I was growing up I always thought that the rain was God crying for us all. Now, I know better- but at the back of my mind this romantic notion still stands.
These days, I think of the positives of rain; refreshing the earth, watering crops and sustaining us. When all this rain becomes a hurricane, my mind draws a blank. No words.

God’s tears fall
Raindrops ricochet
Leaves showered anew
