Ultreya!

This week in New York, temperatures reached record-highs! Central Park peaked above 90 degrees (F)! Trees responded–seemingly overnight–with resplendent blossoms and emergent leaves. And the birds haven’t shut up yet!

It’s only fitting, therefore, that this week’s kigo testify to the staying power of our avian cousins. This week, write the haikai poem (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that states or references twittering (saezuri)

As always:

Here’s how the challenge works:

1. write the haikai poem of your choice.
2. post the link of your post to Mister Linky.
3. pingback by posting the link to the challenge on your site.
4. read and comment on other contributors’ posts.

Enjoy this warm and blossoming season! And don’t forget to listen to the birds twittering!

After last night’s rain a full on concert this morning with saezuri

It is nice to be on the edge of a creek and a meadow. 🙂 However I also get airplane traffic from the local airport. Guess one has to take everything in a balance 😉
