Ultreya!

The season of Advent draws to a close. The Solstice has come and gone. Whether in summer or winter, Christmas arrives this Tuesday!

Wrap those presents! Trim that tree! Put on those ugly sweaters and smile as yet another fruitcake appears!

Above all, rejoice! “The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it!”

This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that states or references Christmas.

As always:

Here’s how the challenge works:

1. write the haikai poem of your choice.
2. post the link of your post to Mister Linky.
3. pingback by posting the link to the challenge on your site.
4. read and comment on other contributors’ posts.

Merry Christmas, haijin!

  1. No Mr. Linky?

One year a relative made a two headed sweater of red and white… only half way finished… I don’t even think I have a photo any more. But I unraveled the yarn and finally have almost used it all up for odd crocheted scarves that I gift. 🙂

Happy holidays all here’s some haiku:
