Looking ahead:
The days continue to heat up here in New York. We’ve had days close to 80 degrees F, and more like them are coming. Even as the Western calendar still clings to Spring, I see why the traditional lunar calendars call this time of the year (North of the Equator, anyways) summer.
This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to summer-like (natsumeku) conditions (weather, activities, etc.)
As always:
Here’s how the challenge works:
1. write the haikai poem of your choice.
2. post the link of your post to Mister Linky.
3. pingback by posting the link to the challenge on your site.
4. read and comment on other contributors’ posts.
A special thanks to those that participated in my inaugural post over at dVerse! There’s still one day left if any of you wish to participate. In the meantime, stay cool, haijin!
