a day of walks and views of horseshoe bend and Antelope Canyon ends with sunset views over the red rocks from Airport Mesa.

a stirring wind

and silence

Cathedral Rock. An early morning hike yields abundant peace.

strenuous steps

a vast panorama

of red rocks

Chapel of the Holy Cross. A fifty-foot Crucifix. Gregorian Chant, and a sublime silence.
