Homecoming

Frank walked off with his friend from home. We called him at least once a week. Sometimes, we’d turn on FaceTime. We laughed at the shenanigans of other parents, and of some of his friends still at home. He made new friends, kept up his studies (We hope!), enjoyed the party scene, and continues his college life.

And he comes home for Thanksgiving break tomorrow, for which I give thanks!

I’m hosting dVerse today, where we acknowledge Thanksgiving by offering up haibun on that for which we give thanks! The pub is open! Come join us!

  1. Somehow I missed that your son had gone away to college this year, Frank. I know you will be happy to see him. Our older child and their wife are here for the first time since before the pandemic! Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. They would certainly show positive traces of maturity having been on their own for sometime. They naturally adjust to a higher level as a result of interaction with their peer group! Thanks for hosting, Frank!
