Every morning, I write with nature surrounding me. The view from my window allows me to observe the arrival of my feathered guests. A red-headed woodpecker comes to peck, peck, peck on the mesquite. From pigeons to mourning doves to peach faced love birds, I watch them feed on the seeds and drink from the birdbath. The pigeons and doves dance as they scuttle along the ground, eating the seeds cast out of the feeders by the smaller birds.
