Coach Karl Brown

Today I had the great pleasure to meet up with, have lunch, talk knife crime, social justice, education, sport, food, drink and much more with legendary UK pro basketball player, coach, community champion and motivational speaker, Coach Karl Brown.

Many years ago I was one of his school teachers before he became the first British state school student to get a basketball scholarship to college in the USA.

I’m proud now to work from time to time alongside Karl in delivering projects for and with young people and to count him as one of my best and most loyal friends.

Our lunch today was at The Old Bulls Head in Woodhouse Eaves just outside Loughborough where both the service and food were great, almost as good as the conversation!
