The annual dance
for March equinox’ full moon –
sugarplum faeries
whirl legless androgynous
dancers, curling to and fro.

Frank J. Tassone is the host of Haikai Challenge.  Frank says:
When a Full Moon takes place when the Moon is near its closest approach to Earth, it is called a Super Full Moon. When there is a New Moon around the closest point to Earth, it is known as a Super New Moon.  The Full Moon in March is the Worm Moon, and it is usually considered the last Full Moon of winter. It is also called Lenten Moon, Crow Moon, Crust Moon, Chaste Moon, Sugar Moon, and Sap Moon.

This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to the Super (Worm) Moon.
