#Haiku Happenings #1 (11/30/17): Alexander De’s haiku sequence!

Alexander De's avatarZander In Print

Mute stainless steel sky

Curdled clouds baggaged with snow

Joy to the World plays

Dove, not a partridge

Chained to sidewalk-prisoned tree

Havana dreaming

False clouds turn to rain

Late November’s burnt umber

Obscures silver bells

Z

Z thoughts:  In primary school we learned that Haiku is 3 lines, 5/7/5, and not much else.  In high school there was this paperdoll girl from Japan.  She had very straight hair and smelled like some flower I never knew.  She taught me Haiku. I taught her Christmas.  This is for her, wherever and whenever she is.
