“The Little Store” . . .

memories of ice cream

This place was a cramped little mom-and-pop deli that also served ice cream. They’d hand-pack it — maple walnut, mint chocolate chip, vanilla fudge, cherry vanilla — into Chinese food take-out containers so high that the flaps wouldn’t close. (They’d stick a piece of waxed paper on top to cover them.)
