5.6 (dj) haikai/ saezuri – Daily Jewels by Jules

#Haiku Happenings #3: Jules latest #renga soliloquy for my current #haikai challenge!

saezuri

visible, warbler
with bold yellow robe whistles
black bonnet secure

the mourning of whippoorwills
reaches ears, but not my eyes

some songbirds are shy
others like the mockingbird
like to be mimics

coo’s of doves compete with
the morse code of woodpeckers

cardinals, robins
wrens, and sparrows also join
springs’ composition

baritone and bass; ducks, geese
announce their clutches have hatched

Sunday’s song – endless
after last night’s rain; garden
is a smorgasbord
