8.15 tanked? haikai 46 (tanka /haiku)

#Haiku Happenings #1 (8/15/18): Jules second solo #renga for my current #haikai challenge!

ambition’s face
eyes reflecting flame, blazing –
a firefighters’ job

determination to save,
mindful; both women and men

a ‘family’ of
smoke-eaters; repeaters true –
use healing water

‘Grant’ homeowners fishy boon
with thoughtful lovingkindness

a teaching moment;
safety for all – humans, pets –
have a prepared plan
