Pictoral haiku in Otata

#Haiku Happenings #1 (1/3/19): Anna Maris’ pictoral haiku appear in Otata!

A number of my wingdings haiku have been published in the first issue of Otata this year. The idea of writing haiku without the obstruction of language is a way of expressing very basic images in symbols which can be understood in the same way as language. I have previously had pictoral haiku published in an arts journal, however it is a first time they have been included in a haiku magazine.

Editor John Martone sent me these links on pictoral poetry, which I found very interesting. https://slowforward.net/2019/01/01/230624-differx-2018/
