Enjoy haiku! Become motivated to write it. My haiga– a haiku sequence accompanied by art by Nicole Garcia– is on exhibit at City Hall in Highland Park, IL through Feb. 28. There will be a reception for this group show, from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday,  Jan. 14. Come meet a lot of poets and artists. You can even learn all about haiku from me!

I always like to connect with people who love poetry and art. The show is sponsored by The Art Center of Highland Park that selected artists and poets to participate, along with the assistance of Jennifer Dotson of Highland Park Poetry who helped The Art Center to select pieces by poets. Of course, I am most grateful to Nicole Garcia who did the stunning artwork for “Homeless,” my haiku sequence. Through Highland Park Poetry, this piece travels a lot!GetFileAttachment-12
