For Frank’s Haikai challenge – Light Snow Brief and in the manner of Basho

Haibun: Light Snow

Light drizzle coated everything with a thin sheen of ice. Wild pear trees bloomed white in the winter sepia trees. Around midnight, a light snow began falling. Swirling snow flakesstuck to the ice and left a white coating over all. Next morning in the sunlight, it began to melt.
