Twittering Tweets of Spring

declaring territory, could be a pine branch nearest the feeder.
how about air space round the highest peaked perch of the suburban homes.
there are the hedgerows too, where the robins have nested every year.

saezuri abounds
a language both pleasing and
foreign to my ears

sometimes, without actually knowing what, I whistle back to them.
we go a round robin in our hopeful light hearted conversations.
’til one of us is called away by our mate or other distraction.
