kayak haiku here
amid white flowers of the
Greenwood Lake’s lilies

a
brittle soul within
quick desert blooming just to
prove that I exist

damsel and dragon
flies, flutter, hover and dance
words like ripples flow

b
in the coolness of
the night scorpion create
desert sand ripples

water striders and
bugs in bubbles drift and sway
on the lake surface

c
spreading over the
desert mountains seeking; sun
almost motionless
