Warp and Weft ~ Images and Words: Presence, Number 64, July 2019

#Haiku Happenings #5: Debbie Strange’s haiku and #tanka appear in Presence!

heat mirage
the balked landing
of a waterhen

souvenirs . . .
the memories I thought
she’d forgotten

scented drifts
of cottonwood fluff
line every street . . .
he might not make it
through the winter

I was delighted to discover that the following haiku was shortlisted for the Best-of Issue Award in Presence 63:
star-nosed mole
we search for light
in dark places
