Bird Drawing - Pink - Sparrow - Silhouette by D Hackett

Pink blanket pulled up
Behind frozen bones of trees —
Sparrow’s silhouette

Snuggling in my warm bed
Wakened, with Spring, by his song

Frank J. Tassone is the host of Haikai Challenge.  Frank says:
This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that states or alludes to first sparrows twittering (hatsusuzume).
