trying times

white lily past prime

heady gentle perfume wafts

through clumsy girls mask

what to do with rough edges

of emotions; bad poet…

spills same psalm prayer –

stuff ‘em in the urn; ashes,

different words – death

is there any true rebirth

who gets passed over today?

through clumsy girls mask

faith slips between pleated folds

sun’s rays warm sad heart

(Too many unnecessary losses… we do what we can to maintain the health we have left. Catching the sun, seeking light in even the briefest of smiles. Being thankful for what we have and that which we can freely give…)
