moon! shine brighter
my pup is searching
for cats to chase

quick! lizard
behind the picture
— my aunt is here

locked down again
— what gods answer
my dog’s prayers?

just warm enough
for the mosquitoes —
new year’s night

new year morning
wresting one last shave
from the old blade
