Dear Frank, I’m very happy and honoured that you liked my poem and photograph. Thank you! The old cottage was in a small village in country New South Wales called Nundle. Gold was mined there in the 1800s and early 1900s, but no longer. These days ‘tree changers’ are looking for the quiet life there, away from the city. It’s very peaceful and secluded, in a farming valley surrounded by hills clothed in thick eucalyptus forest. Several shops, a campground, one pub which serves a good hearty meal and homes like the cottage are what remains! Warm wishes, Marietta
The pleasure is all mine, Marietta! 😇
