This February’s National Haiku Writing Month has been chock-full of fun prompts. Today’s was Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, which created both the expected earworm and encouraged a little wander into the Pacific Northwest’s edible winter fungi, and then from there to the fascinating world of psilocybin mushrooms, otherwise known as “magic mushrooms.” So, today’s response led to a bit of Senryūfun in haiga form. I took this picture while hiking the Bob Bammert Grove in January and have been waiting for the perfect moment to play with it — found!
