#Haiku Happenings #4: Charlotte Digregorio announces that Barbara Tate has a new book of #haikai out!
Charlotte Digregorio's Writer's Blog

Barbara Tate, a very accomplished writer and author of many genres, has just published “far more than I ever was: haiku, tanka and haibun.” It’s a very attractive, generous, and endearing collection by someone whose work is often featured on this blog, and whose poems appear worldwide.
As the author states in the Introduction, “To me haiku, senryu and tanka are an awareness either from a memory or a moment that strikes like a flash of lightning and begs to be written . . .”
As all great haiku, tanka, and haibun, Tate’s pieces place you right in the moment. Below are just a few fresh and succinct samples of her inspiring and relatable poems that you’ll come back to again and again:
taking a walk
the old dog in my shadow
• • •
sunset walk
a pool of gold
at the rainbow’s end
• • •
