I have begun to watch the beginning of the documentary on the BBC and this statement of hers struck me:

She says she stopped eating when she realised what was happening and ‘it took many years’ to recover. She also refers to her diagnosis, asking whether it is only people with AS who see behind the facade. That is so brave. She does not refer to it in the context of sometimes needing to withdraw, even being unable to speak. Looking forward to watch more…
