#Haiku Happenings #9: Lynn’s latest haiku sequence for my current #haikai challenge!

lynn__'s avatara poem in my pocket

Linking to Frank Tassone’s haiku challenge…

maundy thursday meal

passover lamb serves supper

taste body and blood

good friday trial

soldiers nail flesh to wood beams

God’s self-sacrifice

silent saturday

women weep while Jesus sleeps

he will rise again!

Inri 1510 fragment – Matthias Grunewald, Netherlands

INRI stems from the Latin phrase ‘Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum‘ meaning ‘Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews’. This was the notice Pontius Pilate nailed to the cross.

Thanks for the re-post, Frank! Can you add space to separate the 3 haiku of my series?

Unfortunately, I can’t. The reblog feature only allows me to edit my commentary to your post, not your post itself. However, a link to your original post is included, so readers can click over to your site, where your haiku are formatted as you intended.
