#Haiku Happenings #7: revivedwriter’s latest #haibun for my current #haikai challenge!
Frank J. Tassone challenges us to write a haikai poem about migrating birds, or in Japanese, wataridori.
The birds fly in a V formation, splitting down the middle. It’s getting colder, so they know it’s time to go. And they have the wings, the ability to do so, along with companions for the journey. I watch them — I will miss their song as I remain in this place.
foreign word, well-known feeling
wanting to fly too
