Mourning Dove

#Haiku Happenings #2: Helene’s latest #haibun for my current #haikai challenge!

In the early morning during summer months, a pair of mourning dove often visit my bedroom balcony. Their cooing is soft and soothing. When they are further away, their cooing sounds like an echo. It is inviting to listen to as well as mesmerizing.
In this part of Ontario, Canada, Mourning Doves migrate south from September to November.

Cool morning, clear sky
mourning doves coo, wings tapping
autumn migration
