mix it up!

waterfowl, turkey
venison – more natives than
pilgrims feasted then

now we are thankful of that
stuff, fluff – marshmallow on yams

or taters so sweet;
perhaps along with some ham?
on the platters too

some of us far from the shore
where the Mayflower landed

to them we salute
the meal that we now share here
with relatives dear

drinkable water,
wine, and maybe corn brewed beer
here’s to tradition!
