s 12.16 Still, Sun/ haikai 65 / haiku series | Jules Longer Strands of Gems

#Haiku Happenings #8: Jules’ latest haiku sequence for my current #haikai challenge!

Still, Sun

winter solstice has
the shortest day on display;
life light in balance

as summer solstice
prolongs those rays for friends on
the opposite perch

together we can
celebrate the changing of
the seasons through verse

each wishing good will
that the earth is rotating
still… around the sun

as we get closer
to celebrating the flip
to January

peace and good will all;
may we count our blessings full
with our happy hearts
