#Haiku Happenings #5: Kim Russell’s latest haiku for Carpe Diem!
a threatening sky
we wait for a rattling wind
wrapped in silent snow

My response to Carpe Diem #1592 Storm
Today we have a modern kigo from Jane’s Dictionary of Haiku: storm. We also have some examples of Jane’s haiku on this theme:
after the snowstorm
new paths to old places
the skies clear
after the snowstorm
only wood smoke drifts
into the clearing
storm clouds
forcing the sun to set
far out to sea
winter storms
wrapping around the house
the ocean’s roar
