#Haiku Happenings #1 (3/19/19): Linda Lee Lyberg’s latest #haibun for my latest #haikai challenge!
Here in my garden I sit admiring the fruits of my labor. It’s been a busy morning of cleaning, raking, weeding, sweeping, and planting french breakfast radish seeds. The solitude and peace is marvelous, and the only sounds I hear is a distant lawn mower and birds singing.
Spring arrives in my part of the world early; it is my favorite time of year.
vivid green leaves sprout
white blossoms unfurl sweet scent-
swallowtail nectars
Author’s Note: These are all photos of my garden, taken today.
