#Haiku Happenings #6: Jules’ latest haiku sequence for my current #haikai challenge!

ochiba

fallen leaves bare limbs
with nowhere to hide beware
the owls in the road

piles line the streets of
suburbia waiting for
the ‘great’ vacuum

silver maples still
hold several barrows of
leaves yet to fall …down

large brittle oak leaves
brown russet hands wave as they
tumble in the wind

Exposed hornets nest
Abandoned as cold sets in;
Just where have they gone

    Thanks…
    This year I didn’t see that many regular hornets…
    But we a did see the Cicada Killers (a type of in ground nesting wasp) this year.
