not quite ‘no truck with you’ friend?
perhaps spring kaeru tadpoles…

rainbow frogs in spring?
along with my brand new shoes
perhaps then we’ll dance…

Dawg and I saw officer Marshall – A little yip from my pet directed my eyes to the body cam. I didn’t realize our department was that sophisticated. I’d have to be very careful about what I said and perhaps even how I looked into his eyes while Sam was on duty.

Sam had noticed where my eyes when – perhaps too much surprise in them? “New department issue…” he said, and without saying; I’ll call you later on my private line to ask about why you and Dawg are in town.

“I hear the bakery gives out free coffee to hard working officers of the law,” I said with a cautious laugh. “I’m on my way to get Dawg his freshly baked doggy cookie and some scones.” With that we more or less repeated; “Have a good day,” and parted company… At least I hoped I’d get a call when he got off shift. The crystal in the Bakery window glittered with its rainbow hue…
