Night gogyohka

#Haiku Happenings #4: Jane Dougherty’s latest #gogyohka sequence!

Jane Dougherty's avatarJane Dougherty Writes

Novsky

dark times are coming

walking with the misty rain

across brown winter fields

crows herald the night

before the deluge

moments chewed

from the light

swallowed by the dark

anguish

at each sinking sun

wait a while

hold breath against the deepening cold

watch the morning break night’s hold

watch the sun rise drawing streamers of day

watch winter wane
