last scents of cedar – –

a road clawed from the brush

under wolf moon

Wolf moon is a traditional name for January’s moon; Haikai Challenge #120 wolf moon. The township probably chose January to claw back the juniper shrubs bordering the road, as wood is brittle in winter. Road widening is their agenda.
