“This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to the new moon.” Frank J.Tassone

I’ve attempted to write a Gogyohka. A 5 line poetry or song, with no fixed syllable pattern. For me, when the Moon is asleep, its even darkerin the night sky.

~City Lights~

The stars are twinkling brightly

One or two, here and there

North Star likely

Its sad, there is no moon to see

And the city lights have blinded me.
