Vince Tripi was a dear friend when I lived in the San Francisco Bay area. We had many profound phone conversations that lasted hours. He was one of the few people I felt safe sharing my deepest thoughts with.

Vince was a fine poet and his work will live on. News of his passing has altered my entire day. People have always been more important to me than poetry. I honor his work and his life.
