dewy flags unfurl
to fall wind’s bright trumpets
tired crickets now sleep
morning glories open us
to the new day’s chorus

This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to either the cricket (koorogi) or the morning-glory (asagao).
