#Haiku Happenings #2: Eugenia’s latest haiku for my current #Haikai Challenge!
triumph of summer
behold September swelter
an intense farewell
September is that month when some summer heat still sizzles. Those of you living in the New York Metropolitan area know what I’m talking about. Those searing temperatures; that suffocating humidity: it’s like August never left! Thus, we have this week’s kigo: remaining heat (zansho).
Write the #Haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to remaining heat (zansho). -Frank Tassone
