                                                Hifumi Yoshioka

from “Haiku Shiki” (“Haiku Four Seasons,” a monthly haiku magazine), December 2017 Issue, Tokyo Shiki Shuppan, Tokyo

Fay’s Note:  ‘nemachizuki’ (moon one waits while lying on  one’s side) is the moon of the 19th day of the lunar month) and an autumn kigo.  FYI:  the moon of the 17th day is ‘tachimachizuki’ (moon one waits while standing) and the moon of the 18th day is ‘imachizuki’ (moon one waits while sitting).
