Many have you may have noticed that our reblog buttons disappeared last Thursday. Sue Vincent sounded off on the issue earlier today:
I know I am not the only one to have realised that WordPress have โlostโ the reblog button. This has been going on for several days now, and at the time of writing, I have seen no sign of its return. It is, we are assured, the result of some unknown technical issue that has the Happiness Engineers unhappily engineering and not, we areย reassured, the deliberate result of tinkering or the removal of a function that plays a huge part in the sense of community around here.
We also commiserated this sad state of affairs.
Well, Sue and I are not the only ones!
So let me share with you a link that a Happiness Engineer provided me (after a modest amount of badgering through two or three separate chats):
https://github.com/automattic/wp-calypso/issues/22491
You can check in and see how the Happiness Engineers and developers are progressing in restoring our much-loved reblog button. Meanwhile, if I hear anything else, I will let you know.
Stay tuned!
Update:Sue Vincent offers a tutorial on alternativeWP sharing options.
Update 2: from a happiness engineer, responding on the forum I posted earlier:

Hi all. Just an update. It appears this happened because we removed some deprecated code, i.e. code for a feature that no longer exists, but it seems the reblog button was also using some of that code.
Adding back the deprecated code is not an option, so our developers are working on replacing it with updated code that will allow the button to work again. We’re already testing potential fixes, so hopefully it won’t be too much longer.![]()
