#Haiku Happenings #3: Jane Dougherty’s #tanka for my current #haikai challenge!
A five line poem in tanka form for Frank Tassone’s haikai challenge. I know this isn’t a true tanka, but the subject matter isn’t either, so I took liberties.
Some give thanks for life,
for being spared, yet winter
comes then spring, always;
the sky holds us all, sun, moon,
stars in the palm of its hand.
