
I get a bad rap, he says, and I just roll my eyes.
What do you expect, I say, They’re blind around you.
And they see just fine around you, he snaps, ain’t you special?
I sigh, for it’s always like this lately. Complain, complain, complain!
Is it my fault they depend on their eyes, I ask, and he huffs.
You’ve given them so much to see all the time, why do they still cringe at the sight of me? he asks, in that self-pitying whine of his.
Not my monkey, not my circus, I answer, if you want to find out, ask them.
And he just folds his arms across his chest and huffs, again.
Same gripe. Different day.
