
It’s the end of the first full week, and I rest in the chaise. Mira lies next to me, her sunglasses giving her that Jackie Kennedy Onassis impression. Maple leaves in the canopy above us rustle in a late afternoon breeze. Grasshoppers continue singing. Oh, how blue the sky!
I savor the last flavor of caramel from the venti Frappuccino I drank on the way home. But even resting so, I sense the growth of the to-do list.
