falling stars
all we inherit
is the wind
Do you imagine that you know me?
Oh, you do, you do.
Heard all of my stories?
You’ve heard enough, I’m sure.
Just another trickster, right? Stealing the sun from the Great Spirit? Tricking a white man out of his clothes?
Gambling his wife away to his best friend. Losing his member in an ill-conceived gambit…
You know–you are really not helping!
What? Don’t they deserve to know the truth?
I’m getting to it!
Oh? I can’t wait to hear this, then!
Yes, I have played the fool. Too well at times. I made atrocious mistakes. But I’m still here. And what do I embody for all of you?
Transformation.
How’s that?
Hmmm. Alright, I’ve got to admit it. Not too shabby. Now, get on with it!
“Please allow me to introduce myself…”
I’m your huckleberry…”
your own. True. Coyote.
Well, at least he had one moment, right?
the lies
we tell ourselves
rising sun

Wow! Amazing write here, Frank. My answer….ah yes…the lies we tell ourselves. I’m thinking of the ones I try to tell myself when I stand in front of the mirror these days. Now you’ve got me thinking….Sign of a good piece of writing when it does that!

Really amazing, Frank! Lies we tell ourselves, small or huge … human nature ~ hopefully not a danger to ourselves or others.
