Seasonal Incongruity

There’s scarcely any snow left on the ground. Spring-like sun, with a few showers thrown in for good measure, melted away the one-time wonderland brought by two mid-february snowstorms.

Not exactly the kind of scene that evokes a Snow Moon.

Yet there it is! Small, rising in the morning, and soon to be swallowed by the waxing daylight. Nevertheless, there to bear witness to a wistful winter that passes all too quickly.

We haven’t had any snow, but we have had frost, so snow is still possible but not probable. I’m glad it didn’t hide the moon from you.
