We saw

 

firefighters raise the flag at Ground Zero.

Twin Tower girders forged into a cross.

 

a woman use her SUV as an ambulance

while shots fired.

 

Those gave their lives for others

when bullets fell.

 

We are Hope’s witnesses.

 

After

this darkness

light
