Waiting for a Butterfly’s wings to return Spring.
For if their beats can call forth Tsunami’s,
surely they can put a zip in the warm season’s step?
Beat on, petite monarch, beat on
a sparrow’s last chirp
forecasted snow flurries
a week into spring

Another awesome write, Frank. I think you need to stop relying on butterflies and sparrows. Delta to Miami. 🙂

Spring can’t decide to advance or retreat. We have seen butterflies though. And the lizards are out in force again

Let’s hope the wing speeds up the warming. I gather the east coast is still pretty cold.

Awe….I like the thought here, the sense of waiting for the small thing to cause a big consequence. Well done and thanks for posting to my prompt at toads!

I saw a funny post the other day that this year’s winter is like a friend who keeps storming out of the room, angry, and then coming back in and yelling, “And ANOTHER thing!” 😉
This is a great take on the prompt, Frank. I love that sparrow.
